Department of Fashion and Textiles

The Fashion and Textiles Department is the largest department in the school, providing training in design, leadership and strategy and marketing, at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. The department supports one of the largest international student communities in Europe studying fashion leadership, marketing, management and strategy programs, while maintaining a long-standing reputation for developing high-end design practices. level and craft skills. The department supports a diverse and inclusive research environment, with notable strengths in fashion and textiles and cultural history, critical luxury studies, sustainability, and innovation in textiles and electronic materials.

The role

This role is part of the school’s Fashion and Textile department. The department includes undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the areas of fashion leadership, including fashion management, fashion marketing and branding, fashion marketing with management, and brand management Luxury, as well as our practice-based Fashion Design and Textile Design programs. This role focuses on maintaining our growing national and international reputation in fashion leadership, including marketing, management, branding and digital context in this ever-changing field. The role will focus on delivering high quality education and research that complements the wider education and research strategy of the school and university. This is a great opportunity to join a growing school, which encompasses education, research and enterprise, with a focus on student experience, curriculum development, underpinned by research, as well as collaboration with industry partners.

About you

You will have a proven track record of developing and delivering an excellent standard of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as the ability to develop a variety of learning and teaching approaches to deliver a excellent level of education. Key to this role is being able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the school, as well as integrating high quality teaching and research activities to ensure that the strategies of the university and school are respected. If you have a growing and consistent national and international reputation in fashion marketing, management, sustainability, research methodologies and global fashion leadership across different industries, this role is for you.
