Department of Fashion and Textiles
The Fashion and Textiles Department is the largest department in the school, providing training in design, leadership and strategy and marketing, at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels. The department supports one of Europe’s largest international student communities studying fashion leadership, management and strategy programs, while maintaining a long-standing reputation for developing high-level design practices and of craft skills. The department supports a diverse and inclusive research environment, with notable strengths in fashion and textiles and cultural history, critical luxury studies, sustainability, and innovation in textiles and electronic materials.
About the role
This role is focused on maintaining our growing national and international reputation in Fashoin marketing and branding, fashion leadership including digital marketing, social media marketing, new technologies, fashion, branding and digital contexts. The role will focus on delivering a high quality education that complements the wider education and research strategy of the school and university. This is a great opportunity to join a growing school, which encompasses education, research and enterprise, focusing on student experience, curriculum development, teaching practices innovations, as well as collaboration with industry partners.
Two positions are available. These positions are offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis of 2 years.
You will have both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience. A key aspect of this role is the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external to the school, as well as contributing to program development and aligning your work with school strategies. education and research of university and school.
With a focus on fashion marketing and branding, digital strategy, marketing and management and research skills, you will be part of a dynamic department focused on sustainability, fashion marketing and brand training, research practice, research methodologies and global fashion marketing and leadership in different sectors, including luxury. You will be part of a dynamic group of scholars who are paving the way for fashion branding and leadership, embracing the digital arena from both an educational and research perspective. Relevant academic and industrial experience is welcome.
You will contribute to the supervision of postdoctoral research as well as the delivery of teaching throughout the department.
