Italian fashion company Aeffe posts revenue of 80 million euros in the first quarter of fiscal 21

Aeffe SpA, an Italian luxury goods and fashion company, reported 5.2% revenue growth to € 80.1 million in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal 21 ended on March 31, 2021, against a turnover of 76.2 million euros in the corresponding previous fiscal quarter. The group’s net income for the quarter amounted to 3.8 million euros (Q1 FY20: 4 thousand euros).

“We believe the results approved today show positive signs leading to a gradual recovery, after a long period of global restrictions linked to the pandemic. The group reacted quickly on the supply side, offering distinctive collections that are more targeted and oriented towards sustainability in terms of the production process and sustainability ”, said Massimo Ferretti, executive chairman of Aeffe Spa, in A press release.

The company’s EBITDA for the first quarter of fiscal 21 increased 63.5% to 14.0 million euros (8.6 million euros), while profit before tax was 6, 9 million euros (0.9 million euros).

In the first quarter, the group’s sales in the Italian market fell 2.6 percent to 34.3 million euros (35.2 million euros) due to the decline in the retail channel , which has suffered from both rigid measures to counter the spread of the pandemic, in terms of store closings and the lack of tourists. On the contrary, sales in Europe (excluding Italy) increased by 8.4 percent to 22.9 million euros (21.1 million euros) with a positive trend in Germany and Europe of the east in the wholesale channel. In addition, sales in Asia and the rest of the world jumped 14.7% to 17.8 million euros (15.5 million euros), while sales in America increased by 16.7 % to 5.0 million euros (4.3 million euros).

Sales of the Alberta Ferretti brand in the first quarter of fiscal 21 fell 20.9% to 4.3 million euros (5.4 million euros), while Philosophy increased slightly by 0 , 7% to 4.3 million euros (4.2 million euros). Moschino sales rose 16.2 percent to 65.3 million euros (56.2 million euros) and sales of the Polini brand fell 25.2 percent to 5.9 million d ‘euros (7.8 million euros).

“We are confident about the results for the next few months, thank you both for the excellent feedback from the F / W 2021-2022 sales campaign, which recorded a 12% increase, and for the growth of the online channel.
